    • Thermography Breast Cancer Screenings: These clinics are offered every 3 months and are open to the public. Breast thermography uses a special camera to take pictures of heat patterns, which can identify risk for some forms of breast cancer 8-10 years before they are visible by mammography. This method is 10 times more predictive of breast cancer risk than family history alone. The images are taken by our certified Thermographer, Dr. Nicole Schertell and all images are interpreted by MD radiologists who have received specialized training in thermography. For more information on thermography, visit http://www.imageofhealth.info/default.html
    • The cost for breast screening is $150.
    • Those with income restrictions may apply for free screening at http://www.ubcf.info/c/258/free-breast-cancer-screening but be aware that it may take up between 2-4 months for reimbursement through the United Breast Cancer Foundation.  You may be asked to pay some or all of the screening while waiting for reimbursement.
    • Two screenings done 3 months apart are recommended to establish your “baseline” and if normal.  After that, screenings are recommended annually.
    • Next screening clinic is Saturday, May 22, 2010 from 9am-5pm. Call today, these clinics book up fast!
